Check your Change! Recessions are great times to look for old coins. Like wheat pennies for example.

The key dates for the U.S. Wheat Pennies are as follows:
Date and Approximate Mintage
1909-S - 1.8 million
1909-S VDB - 0.5 million
1914-D - 1.2 million
1922 (No mint mark) - unknown (D is missing)
1931-S - 0.9 million
ANY of these dates will get you a coin worth real money, say $100 to $300.
My birthday penny is worth 3 cents.
In fact, my local coin dealer will pay you 2 cents for anyone you find. Twice its face value.
Find out how much a REAL coin dealer will pay you for your wheat pennies
in this table of Wheat Penny Values.
For example, I found a 1943 Steel penny in my change this week. It MIGHT be worth 15 cents.
IF you find one of the very few 1943 Copper pennies, you have $15,000 in your hand.
