I am going to keep coming back to this topic of investing our tax dollars in green technology and green jobs and green products for export ... all that nice green stuff needs a close look and a tight focus on improving OUR green prospects in green technology.

Take T. Boone Pickens's cause for National Gas and Wind Power. He makes a good arguement for both.

When you see a sea of wind mills on the plains of America, pumping renewable electricity into a new green power grid for USa you might think that those wind mills will be made by American companies with American workers for here and the world export market...

those wind mills are manufactured by the Danish company Vestas Wind Systems (http://www.vestas.com/) which has announced plans to bringing some gale-force job-generating power to Portland, Ore, to create 1,200 new jobs in Portland, relocating its North American headquarters and building a new manufacturing plant.

But right now, everyone of those wind mills are manufactured in Vietnam and shipped to Portland for distribution in USa.
