Hood uses a flashlight to see if a tissue sample from Dickie will serve as a conductor. It does, so Hood examines a tissue sample from all the victims. He discovers that there is a virus which is causing micro-wire to grow on their skin. This metal covering is causing people to become electrical conductors.
