Save $15 a week, does not sound like much...

That's the advice of Tom Agee, a senior lecturer at Auckland University's business school, who says by saving the extra $15 per week the average person will receive from today, over time that can become an overseas holiday or a university education.

He says if he and his wife save the $15 a week, between them they would save $1560 every year.If put into a bank deposit earning 2.5 per cent per year after tax and inflation, they would have $19,712 in 11 years enough to pay for their seven-year-old grandson's university fees.
