God does provide what we need for class...
Snake does taste like chicken, and today my Freshman students learned that it smells like fresh killed and dressed chicken. I did not realize how easy their were to gut and skin and how wonderful the meat looks.
Our text book provided only a diagram of a red ear slider turtle for comparision... we have one behind the school in a tub of water from somewhere. I did not have the heart to use the turtle when the snake was provided for us.
Next week, we will use pigs to cover human organ systems... the snake will be remembered longer by the Freshmen. There was a field mouse in HIS stomach.
